This educational group wants to ensure that students are educated in the four Rs: reading, writing, ‘rithmetic, and art.

ART – the American Renaissance for the 21st Century – champions in today’s art what they consider the beauty, realism, and traditional life-affirming values of the masters. The group promotes, as they put it, "the highest quality contemporary art." They, however, are no throwback to olden days and do not yearn for a return to the past. Instead they want to see the proven elements of ancient Greek and Roman ideals that have formed Western heritage preserved and advanced in beautiful contemporary art.

They especially want to see children taught these ideals of beauty and grace in painting, sculpture, music, drama, poetry, and literature. Headquartered in New York City, they organize lecture series and special events for the benefit of the schools.

Currently the group is raising money to open a branch on the west coast in Los Angeles. A high-profile exhibit of the work of painters and sculptors from California, Oregon, Washington state, Texas, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico is planned for 2008.
